Experience: Founder of MVCD, Pastor of Mountain View Fellowship, M.Div., Portland Seminary
What I like most about my job: I love collaborating with partners around the community to empower people toward housing stability.
Outside of work: I am active around the community in multiple advisory boards and housing advocacy groups. I love exploring and backpacking the trails of the Cascades, sailing on small lakes, and exploring Central Oregon with my family.

Experience: Psychotherapist, Technical and Operations Manager, Oregon Mutual Insurance.
What you like most about your job: Doing the small things that matter. Watching people find success. Being part of a team.
Outside of work: Taking walks with my wife, fly fishing, and archery hunting. -
Katherine, Social Services Manager
Experience: I have 21 years of experience in healthcare and 9 years in social services focused on social determinants of health and well-being. Of these years, 11 years are in housing-related roles, including graduate level work on micro communities for houseless mitigation.
What I like most about my job: I enjoy meeting people where they are at and filling needs gaps at the individual to community level to make positive impacts in people's lives.
Outside of work: I enjoy hiking, reading, biking, and spending time with my family.

April, Facilities Tech
Experience: My background is primarily in multi-day river guiding, with a generous dollop of residential tree work, and a sprinkling of a B.S. in Cultural Geography.
What I like best about my job: First and foremost, the team I work with is fantastic. Secondly, it’s an opportunity to draw upon all my experiences and what I like to do, while helping others. Getting paid is simply a bonus.Outside of work: Family adventures, reading, and music are some things that keep the joie in my vie.

Colton, Peer Support Specialist
Experience: I have lived experience of going from a homeless struggling addict to a certified Peer Support Specialist homeowner working to help houseless people meet their basic needs.
What I like most about my job: Helping people and the dogs.
Outside of work: Family time, disc golf, and fishing

Jessica, Community Engagement Specialist
Experience: I have resided in Central Oregon for over 20 years. During this time, I received my BA in Human Development and Family Sciences, allowing me to carry out my dream of caring for the most vulnerable populations. I have been spearheading a new pilot program with MVCD as the Community Engagement Specialist at two low-income apartment communities in Redmond. This position allows for community supports and assistance with accessing social services.
What I like most about my job: I get to carry out my dream of caring for the most vulnerable populations, and I help residents feel empowered and remain in their homes.
Outside work: I have two grown children, and I spend much of my free time either with my family or enjoying all the outdoor activities that Central Oregon has to offer.

Liz, Case Manager
Experience: I have worked in public education and homeschooling, community and juvenile justice, in the areas of prevention and recidivism reduction; social services and compassionate care and service, with a focus on helping individuals and communities navigate challenges and access resources. I am Peer Support-certified as a Traditional Health Worker and Recovery Mentor and as a trained trainer in the field.
What I like most about my job: As a new Case Manager for MVCD, I am looking forward to meeting people right where they are without judgment or bias to support and encourage them in their own life journey toward becoming the best version of themselves by helping them to identify their own goals and then support and motivate them to identify and overcome barriers to success.
Outside of work: I love spending time why my kids and grandkids, enjoying the beautiful outdoors, reading, and art journaling and painting. I also love volunteering in my community by engaging in events that bring resources to those in need.

Patty, Showers & Laundry Coordinator
Experience: I have been the coordinator for three years. I am a retired RN.
What I like most about my job: Working with people and helping them. It is nice to see the same people weekly. And I like working with the volunteers that make this program possible.
Outside work: Gardening, crocheting, walking, and spending time with family and grandkids.

Sierra, Client & Programs Services Assistant
Experience: Very diverse background. Worked in healthcare as a CNA for 10+ years, (including hospital experience, addiction treatment, and in-home healthcare) tech support, and Insurance.
What I like most about my job: Being able to be on the front lines helping people, and making a difference in our community. The wonderful team I work with is a huge bonus!
Outside of work: I enjoy taking advantage of everything Central Oregon has to offer outdoors! (rain or shine) with my two beautiful children. I enjoy catching up on the latest new movie, listening to live music, or trying out a new local restaurant!

Stephanie, Case Manager
Experience: I have worked in social services for three years. I am a certified Community Health Worker and an Adult Mental Health and Addiction Peer Wellness Specialist.
What I like most about my job: I love seeing people coming from a very vulnerable, down place to seeing them smiling and in their own home. It just changes a person, even the way they walk and talk about themselves. It’s fun to watch.
Outside of work: Watching my children grow and riding 4-wheelers and side-by-sides.

Teresa, Development Associate
Experience: Among too many odd jobs to list, I worked as a newspaper reporter and news editor for about a decade.
What I like most about my job: The truly lovely team of people working with our participants is doing incredible work every day, and I get to share that with the larger community. By raising funds, I help people align their money with their values and make sure this work continues.
Outside of work: I love spending time with my husband, my two kids, three dogs, and cat. We play loads of board games, and we get to as many concerts as we can. I also volunteer with the Latino Community Association teaching English as a Second Language.
