Making
it last

Getting into a stable home is one thing. Staying there is something else.

Our partners Housing Works and FUSE noticed that people in their low-income apartment complexes needed support. So we worked with them to start a pilot program.

Our case manager now works at their apartments, building community and connecting tenants with resources. One of those complexes is for folks who are 55 and older, and the other is for families.

A woman with curly gray hair pulled back with a bright purple headband and dangly earring points at a case manager in a green sweater. A puzzle of cows is on the table in front of them.

What’s next?

If we want to make lasting change, we can’t walk away after people get into stable housing. For many, the struggles they had don’t simply go away.

This project is exciting because as we build success, we can replicate it throughout the region. And we’ll offer a model so others can do the same.
